      Mulled Gin

      Serves 4

      Glass
      Heat proof tumbler glasses or teacups.
      Ingredients
      100ml Nells Bluff Gin
      400ml apple juice
      4 cloves
      ½ lemon, sliced
      1 bay leaf
      2 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
      1 small cinnamon stick
      3 juniper berries, lightly crushed
      ½ tsp coriander seeds

      To garnish, for each serve you will need:
      1 orange slice, thinly cut
      1 small cinnamon stick
      Method

      Step 1
      Divide the gin between four small heatproof tumbler glasses or teacups and add 25ml of gin to each.

      Step 2
      Tip the apple juice into a saucepan with all of the other ingredients (except for the Nells Bluff Gin) and heat gently until simmering, do not bring to the boil.

      Step 3
      Simmer for approx 5-6 minutes until very warm, then take off heat and strain through a sieve and pour into a jug.

      Step 4
      Pour the mulled apple juice into the glasses (or teacups) with the gin and stir gently to combine.

      Garnish
      Garnish each glass with an orange slice and small cinnamon stick and serve warm. If you wish - thread the cinnamon stick through the centre of the orange slice and place into the glass (or teacup) to serve, it’s sure to impress.
