Sloe Gin Hot Chocolate

Cup or heat proof glassIngredients
300ml full-fat or semi-skimmed milk70ml Quamby Bluff Sloe Gin
100ml double cream
75g melted chocolate (or half chocolate + half the same amount of powdered drinking chocolate if you prefer)
Spice mix: 4-6 few cloves, a little twist of black pepper, 3-4 few drops of vanilla, a sprinkle of nutmeg and cinnamon
Small cinnamon stick to garnish
1 tablespoon chocolate to garnish
Method
STEP 1
Add the milk, cream and chocolate (plus drinking chocolate, if using) your spice mix to a thick-bottomed pan and heat very gently for approx 8 minutes to infuse the liquid with the spices.
STEP 2
After approx 8 minutes, increase the heat and bring to the boil, stirring constantly to ensure a smooth texture.
STEP 3
Once at boiling temperature remove from the heat immediately.
STEP 4
In two cups or heatproof glasses, add 35ml of the Quamby Bluff Sloe gin to each, then strain the spiced hot chocolate into the cup over the top of your sloe gin and serve!
