The Tiers Whisky Night
A night for whisky lovers, the whisky curious, and everyone in between.
The Tiers Whisky Night is all about exploring and tasting whisky from Tasmania, Australia and around the world.
Held on the last Thursday of each month from February to November, 6:00 - 8:30pm, each Whisky Night takes on a different theme, giving you the chance to discover new distilleries, styles and flavours along the way.
Enjoy an in-depth guided whisky tasting, with shared grazing platters, in the relaxed surrounds of Western Tiers Distillery.
Come with friends or come on your own, it's a great chance to meet other whisky enthusiasts, learn a little more about what's in your glass, and perhaps discover a new favourite.

From the rugged peat bogs of Scotland to the precision of Japan and from Ireland and New Zealand all the way home to Tasmania The Tiers Whisky Night is a year-long exploration of whisky in all its forms.
Our ten signature themes return each year, but the whiskies never stand still. Every season brings new bottles, new distilleries and fresh stories to discover, giving members a completely different tasting experience year after year.
The 2027 Tiers Whisky Night Calendar
February - Western Tiers Whisky Night
We begin the year at home. Discover the whiskies of Western Tiers through current releases, rare cask samples, maturation comparisons and a glimpse at what is still quietly developing in our bond store.
March - The Spirit of Ireland
Celebrate the remarkable world of Irish whiskey, from traditional pot still expressions and triple-distilled classics to the exciting new generation of Irish distilleries reshaping the category.
April - New Zealand Whisky
Cross the Tasman for an evening dedicated to one of the world's most exciting emerging whisky regions. Explore the distilleries, people and distinctive flavours driving New Zealand whisky's revival.
May - Whiskies Made on Stillsmiths Equipment
A whisky night you will not find anywhere else. Taste whiskies produced on equipment designed and built in Tasmania by Stillsmiths, and discover how still design, distillation and the people behind the spirit help shape what eventually reaches the glass.
June - Into the Smoke: Peated Whisky
Bold, smoky and impossible to ignore. Journey from the famous peat fires of Islay to unexpected peated whiskies from around the world, exploring how smoke, spirit and cask come together.
July -Tasmanian Mystery Whisky Night
Our signature Tasmanian Whisky Week challenge. Four mystery Tasmanian whiskies. No labels. No clues. Taste them blind, trust your senses and see if you can identify the distillery and the cask behind each dram.
August - The Art of Japanese Whisky
Discover the precision, balance and craftsmanship that made Japanese whisky famous around the world. Each year we explore different distilleries, styles and stories from Japan's extraordinary whisky landscape.
September - Tasmanian Guest Distillery
One night. One Tasmanian distillery. Their whisky, their story and the people who make it. Meet a special guest producer, taste their range and discover what makes their corner of Tasmania unique.
October - Scottish Distillery or Brand Showcase
Take a deep dive into one great Scottish whisky name. Rather than travelling across the entire country, we explore the character, history and range of a single distillery or brand-from its signature style to its more unusual releases.
November - Christmas Whisky Night
The grand finale of the Tiers Whisky year. Expect rich, generous and celebratory whiskies, festive flavours, special pairings and a few surprises chosen especially for the season.
