Western Lakes – First Release
Western Lakes is our very first single malt whisky, tripled distilled and matured in the finest port casks (the first of three whiskies to be released). Named after the Western Lakes, this rich, port cask single malt whisky is deliciously complex, and is ideal for drinking neat or on ice.
First Release bottles are presented in copper cylinders, each one unique with a base and lid made from Tasmanian blackwood. Only 50 produced – last few remaining.
Nose
Beautifully soft creamed butter nose with a delightful sense of alcohol at cask strength. Gentle fruit and floral notes.
Palate
Sweet and vibrant up front at cask strength. With added water the port cask notes shine with dark chocolate and Turkish delight on the middle palate.
Finish
Sweetness yields on the finish, producing an elegant warmth.
